Water cut in large parts of Tetovo after defect in water network
JKP "Shar" says crews are repairing a fault in the water network and expects the interruption to last about 2 hours.
Public Utility Company "Shar" (JKP "Shar") has announced that a significant portion of Tetovo will be without water for the next two hours because of a fault in the municipal water network.
Repair teams on site, interruption expected to last about two hours
According to the company, crews from JKP "Shar" — Tetovo are already working to locate and fix the defect in the main distribution line. The interruption is expected to last about 2 hours while repairs are carried out.
"The crews of JKP 'Shar' — Tetovo will work on repairing the defect and re-establishing regular water supply. The water supply interruption is expected to last about 2 hours. After completion of the works and removal of the defect, water supply will gradually normalize. JKP 'Shar' asks citizens for understanding and patience due to this temporary interruption."
Once the teams finish the repair, water service will be restored gradually across affected neighbourhoods. Residents are urged to store any necessary water in advance if possible and to use supplies sparingly until normal pressure returns.
JKP "Shar" has not provided a detailed map of affected streets but said it will update the public if the repair takes longer than anticipated.
