North Macedonia: Sunny today, local afternoon showers and gusty winds

Today will be mostly sunny with small to moderate cloud cover. During the afternoon some areas will see showers and stronger winds. In places there is a risk of more severe instability in the form of heavy, short-lived downpours, lightning and possible hail.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate from the north. Nationwide minimum temperatures will range from 8 to 16 °C, while daytime highs will reach between 21 and 29 °C.

Skopje forecast

In Skopje the day will be sunny with small to moderate cloudiness. Parts of the valley may experience unstable conditions accompanied by heavy showers and thunder. Winds will be light to moderate from the north, with temperatures falling to around 14 °C in the morning and climbing to about 24 °C in the afternoon.

Through the rest of the working week mostly sunny weather will prevail with small to moderate cloudiness. Tomorrow afternoon local showers and stronger winds are again possible, and locally there may be severe convective activity with downpours, thunder and hail.

Tomorrow the wind will blow from the northwest, and from Wednesday the wind direction is expected to turn to the southeast. Residents in areas forecast for afternoon instability should be prepared for sudden heavy rain and gusty conditions.
