GRK Ohrid vs Pelister — derby at Biljanini Izvori
Opening-round Super League derby tonight in Biljanini Izvori: Rojević’s Gladiators face Lino Červar’s Pelister in a highly anticipated match.

One of the season’s earliest showpieces in North Macedonia’s handball Super League comes tonight: GRK Ohrid host Pelister at the Biljanini Izvori hall, with a 19:00 kickoff for the opening-round derby of the 2026/27 campaign.
Derby at the lake
Both clubs are among the four sides widely regarded as lifting the standard of the domestic league. Alkaloid and Vardar have already opened the season with wins, and all eyes will be on Ohrid and Bitola this evening to see which team strengthens its championship ambitions.
The match also brings a tactical duel on the bench: Boris Rojević, who extended his contract with the Gladiators, leads GRK Ohrid, while legendary coach Lino Červar makes his domestic debut as Pelister’s head coach on the Bitola side.
There is a suggestion Pelister may hold a slight psychological edge after Ohrid suffered a dramatic defeat to Vardar in the Super Cup a few days ago, but that remains only a possibility on paper.
Biljanini Izvori is expected to be packed — supporters want to watch the derby live and witness the Rojević–Červar matchup. Earlier, at 18:30 and also by Lake Ohrid, Struga take on Tikveš in another opening-round fixture that promises to be interesting.
In short, handball will dominate the sporting agenda in Macedonia this evening. Earlier reports also noted that Bregalnica dismissed Nikola Kuzmanov.
