Diamond League 2027 opens in Doha with 15 meetings

The Diamond League has published its 2027 calendar: the eighteenth season will feature 15 meetings across four continents, beginning in Doha and concluding with a two-day final in Zurich on August 25–26.

Schedule highlights

The series opens on May 7 in Doha, Qatar. After that the tour moves to China with meetings in Shanghai/Kechijiao on May 15 and in Xiamen on May 22. European stops follow with Rome on May 27 and Rabat on May 30.

June brings three more European stages: Oslo on June 3, Stockholm on June 6 and Paris on June 25. The North American portion begins in Eugene on July 3, followed by Monaco on July 9, Lausanne on July 13 and London on July 17.

In August the last opportunities to collect points before the final are scheduled in Silesia on August 15 and Brussels on August 20. The top performers in each discipline will qualify for the final in Zurich on August 25–26.

Athletes will earn points in 32 disciplines during the season, with the most successful securing places in the Zurich final and the Diamond League titles. The 2027 season will also serve as an important form check ahead of the World Athletics Championships in Beijing in September.

Diamond League remains one of the sport’s premier one-day events, annually assembling the world’s leading stars in sprints, jumps and throws.
