Regulatory Commission for Energy: diesel up by 5.50 denars/l, EUROSUPER 95 and 98 drop; new prices apply from 00:01 on September 22, 2026.
Published: September 21, 2026, 15:32 — The Regulatory Commission for Energy adopted a new fuel price calculation that takes effect at 00:01 on September 22, 2026.
Key changes to pump prices
Under the new decision EURODIESEL BS rises by 5.50 denars per litre and will be priced at 104.50 denars per litre. Motor gasoline prices fall by 1.50 denars per litre: EUROSUPER BS-95 will be sold at 99.00 denars per litre, while EUROSUPER BS-98 will cost 101.00 denars per litre.
Extra light heating oil is cheaper by 7.00 denars and will be priced at 102.50 denars per litre. Fuel oil M-1 NS increases by 1.835 denars per kilogram, bringing the new price to 50.078 denars per kilogram.
The regulator explained the revision by a rise in international reference prices, most noticeably for diesel, where the increase amounts to 6.772 percent. In addition, the exchange rate of the denar against the dollar was about 0.753 percent higher compared with the previous calculation.
In the new calculation the Commission applied a reduced excise duty of 4.00 denars per litre for gasoline, diesel and extra light heating oil, as well as a preferential VAT rate of 10 percent for diesel and extra light heating oil.
Drivers should expect the new pump stickers and price displays at filling stations to reflect these changes from the first minute of September 22, 2026.
