Jack Grealish suspended by Everton after missing training

30.10.2026 — Jack Grealish, the Manchester City winger currently on loan at Everton, has been suspended by Everton’s management after failing to attend a scheduled training session, the club has confirmed.

Club response and chronology

Everton say the suspension follows a breach of club discipline. Grealish had missed the Premier League match against Arsenal citing illness, and then did not turn up for a planned training session without offering any reason or excuse.

Details about the internal investigation and any further sanctions have not been released. Manager David Moyes briefly commented that he supports the club’s decision and had no further comment on the matter.

Grealish, now 31, arrived at Everton on loan from Manchester City. Once regarded as one of the biggest stars of English football and at one point valued at a hundred million pounds, he had been a regular starter for England at major tournaments. His recent performances, however, have seen him move away from that peak.

The club’s statement did not specify how long the suspension will last or whether Grealish will be available for future selection once internal procedures conclude.

Everton face a busy schedule in the coming weeks, and the club must decide how to handle the player’s role while the disciplinary process is ongoing.
