DOM asks to halt opaque process for data center ahead of tomorrow’s council vote in Pehchevo
The party urges the Pehchevo municipal council to postpone the vote and secure expert and public involvement over possible impacts on water, energy and nature.

DOM has asked for an immediate halt to what it calls a non-transparent procedure regarding a planned data center, ahead of a council vote in Pehchevo scheduled for tomorrow.
The party says it is unacceptable that a project with potentially serious consequences for local water resources, energy supply, the natural environment and the community at large is decided behind closed doors, with insufficient information, unclear analyses and without the involvement of experts and residents.
DOM's demands and rationale
DOM calls on the municipal council to postpone the vote and to open the process: provide full technical and environmental assessments, allow independent expert review and organise public consultations so citizens can express concerns and suggestions.
The party warned that progress in digital development must not be used as a pretext to limit transparency or to sideline the public interest. DOM said it has raised these objections on several occasions and expects the council to act responsibly.
