Drilon Islami sidelined with fractured right clavicle

Shkëndija’s season faces a setback after Drilon Islami suffered a fracture to his right clavicle during the match against Shkëndija from Aračinovo on October 15, 2026. The club confirmed the midfielder — until now a regular starter — was forced off the pitch after a duel and taken to hospital for urgent care.

Medical team weighing surgery

The medical staff at Shkëndija have not yet decided whether Islami will need surgical treatment or whether his recovery can proceed with conservative therapy and rehabilitation. That assessment will determine the length of his absence.

Islami was substituted immediately after the injury occurred and transported to hospital for examinations and treatment. The club reports that further tests are pending to determine the definitive plan.

Depending on the final medical recommendation, the worst-case scenario would see Islami return to competition no earlier than the spring season. The team will provide updates once doctors reach a decision about operative intervention.

The injury removes one of Shkëndija’s consistent starters from the lineup for an uncertain period as the club monitors his recovery.
