DUI: Vlen presents itself as a single political entity, Besa remains a registered party

The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) has accused the political grouping Vlen of misleading voters by presenting itself as a single unified party, while official records show that the Besa Movement remains a separately registered political party. DUI says it relied on the Central Register entry dated 17 August 2026 to make that claim, noting that Bilal Kasami is still listed as Besa’s president.

Accusations of engineered fragmentation

In a statement, DUI argued that the public portrayal of Vlen as a single political subject masks ongoing organizational and personal divisions among the constituent parties. "Their cause is a deception. Their organisation is a deception. The so-called merger into one party is also a deception. Parties, presidents, seals and personal interests continue to exist separately. Everything around them is built on deception: they presented themselves as change and brought degradation, they promised representation and produced exclusion, they sought the Albanian vote and used it to weaken the Albanian political factor," the party said.

DUI also accused Vlen of being an engineered construct created to split the Albanian vote, reduce its political weight and shift decision-making into the hands of other centers of interest.

The party pointed to the Central Register record from 17 August 2026 as proof that at least one of Vlen’s founding components — the Besa Movement — remains active as a distinct party under Bilal Kasami. DUI framed this as evidence that the public narrative about a single, merged entity does not match legal and administrative reality.

The DUI office in Mala Recica was referenced in the original announcement; the party used that appearance to underline its criticism of Vlen’s public messaging and organizational claims.
