Dusan Vlahovic faces suspension after incident in match at Fenerbahce
Vlahovic scored in the 73rd minute of Besiktas' 2:1 win but was reported for offensive gestures and a confrontation with Milan Skriniar.

Dusan Vlahovic could be suspended after an on-field confrontation during Besiktas' 2:1 away victory over Fenerbahce on September 7, 2026.
Incident under disciplinary review
The Serbian striker, who opened the scoring for Besiktas with a goal in the 73rd minute, was involved in a heated exchange with opposing defender Milan Skriniar. What began as a verbal clash escalated when television cameras recorded Vlahovic directing offensive hand gestures at Skriniar.
The rivalry between the two players dates back to their time in Italy's Serie A, and tensions flared once again in the Istanbul derby. Although Vlahovic's finish proved decisive for the final 2:1 result, the victory was overshadowed by the incident.
Following the match, Vlahovic was officially reported to the Disciplinary Committee of the Turkish Football Federation. The committee is now expected to consider sanctions that could include a multi-match ban.
Besiktas and Vlahovic face potential sporting and reputational consequences while the federation evaluates whether the gestures and physical conduct breached disciplinary regulations. No formal ruling has been announced yet.
