Two Algerian nationals arrested in Skopje after cash stolen in Aerodrom

Two Algerian nationals, aged 24 and 23, were detained in Skopje on suspicion of stealing cash from a hospitality venue in the Aerodrom municipality.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs said officers from the Skopje Police Department detained D.E.H. (24) and M.A. (23) on Kuzman Josifovski Pitu Boulevard on 27 October at about 18:50.

Report and quick police response

The arrests followed a report from a 23‑year‑old Skopje resident who owns the hospitality venue in Aerodrom. He told police that at about 16:00 the two men had taken money from the bar area of his establishment.

After the complaint was filed, police took measures to locate the suspects and detained them less than three hours after the alleged theft, the ministry said.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that investigators are working to fully clarify and document the case, after which an appropriate complaint will be filed against the detainees.
