Two prior reports filed before burned-car deaths in Bogdanci

A 17-year-old girl and a 21-year-old man were found dead after a burned passenger car was discovered on the roadside; authorities say there had been two earlier reports connected to the suspect. The family of the minor had reported a 21-year-old man from Valandovo for violence about a month before the bodies were found.

Police timeline and previous complaints

Police report that on 03.11.2026 at 18:40 T.K., a resident of Bogdanci, notified them that at a location known as "Icheva cheshma", Gorno Selo in the Bogdanci municipality, he had found a burned parked passenger vehicle with an unresponsive body nearby. Officers from the Gevgelija police station attended the scene and identified a male who showed no signs of life as V.G. (21), from Bogdanci. Emergency medical teams from the General Hospital Gevgelija pronounced him dead. After firefighters extinguished the blaze, a burned body was found inside the vehicle.

The case has since been tied to earlier reports. On 01.10.2026 at 01:30 a.m. Dzh.K. (46) in Gevgelija filed a police report saying that on 30.09.2026 at about 21:00, after a verbal argument between his 17-year-old daughter and V.G. (21) — who were in a relationship — the girl was physically attacked at V.G.'s family home in Bogdanci, and received death threats if she tried to leave the house. According to that report, V.G. damaged her mobile phone to prevent her from calling the police. The minor escaped through a window and was assisted by passersby who called police; she was taken to Emergency Medical Care at the General Hospital Gevgelija.

Authorities say that the family of the 17-year-old had earlier reported the 21-year-old from Valandovo for violence, while police records identify the suspect as V.G. from Bogdanci. On 14.10.2026 prosecutors filed a criminal complaint for bodily injury against the 21-year-old.

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Gevgelija also reported that a complaint was submitted there for "endangering the security" of the girl. Complaints for that criminal offense, under paragraph 1, are filed and prosecuted privately.

Investigators are examining why earlier reports did not prevent the fatal outcome. Both deceased bodies were found on 03.11.2026 at 18:40, and the investigation by police and prosecutors remains ongoing.
