A candid photo of Jordan Mitev and veteran Naum Petreski drew widespread praise as Mitev prepares a year-end solo concert in Skopje.
A single photograph has become the centrepiece of a warm exchange between two of North Macedonia's best-known folk singers, Jordan Mitev and Naum Petreski.
On his social channels Mitev posted an image in which the two artists embrace, smiling and toasting with raised glasses. The short caption he added struck a chord with fans across the country.
"There is only one Naum... but there is only one Jordan too."
Summer highlights and family time
The post quickly collected thousands of likes and a flood of positive comments from followers who praised both performers for long careers filled with timeless folk hits. For Jordan Mitev this year has been busy onstage and at home.
After an intense summer season that saw packed public squares and an appearance at Pivofest 2026 in Prilep, Mitev took time for rest in his native Podareš and in Ohrid with his wife Slavica, daughter Kristina and son Kristian. Speaking recently on the show "Kafe muabeti," he described his family as his main source of energy and support — and he has already announced a major solo concert in Skopje at the end of the year.
