Explosion thrown in front of house in Bardovci damages entrance stairs, gate, car and window
Police say a 70-year-old man reported that an object was thrown at his house in Bardovci at about 02:35 on 16 August 2026; authorities are investigating.
An explosion occurred in the village of Bardovci, near Skopje, in the early hours of 16 August 2026, damaging the entrance stairs of a family house, a window, the property gate and a passenger car, police said. The incident was reported to police by a 70-year-old Skopje resident identified as K.B.
"On 16.08.2026 at around 02:35, at the Skopje Police Department K.B. (70) from Skopje reported that in the village of Bardovci, Skopje, an object was thrown towards the house which caused an explosion and damaged the entrance stairs of the house; a window was broken; a passenger vehicle, the gate and other items were damaged. Measures are being taken to clarify the case," the police said.
The Ministry of Interior (MVR) confirmed receipt of the report and stated that investigative steps are underway to determine the circumstances of the explosion and identify those responsible.
Bardovci is a village in the Skopje area; local police units responded to the scene following the emergency call. Authorities inspected the damaged exterior of the property and recorded the reported material losses.
The investigation remains open. Police said they are taking measures to clarify the case and did not provide additional operational details pending further inquiries.
