Express road to link Radovish, Strumica and Novo Selo with Bulgaria border
Vice Prime Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski said the design tender is open, bids due October 8 and studies will take six to nine months.

A new express road will connect Radovish, Strumica and Novo Selo with North Macedonia's border with Bulgaria, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski said after a meeting with Strumica’s mayor, Petar Jankov.
Work on preparation and planning under way
Nikoloski said officials discussed steps needed to prepare the project for implementation. He reiterated that a procurement procedure for selecting a design firm has already been launched and that the deadline for submission of bids is October 8.
The minister outlined the timeline: in the following six to nine months the necessary studies are to be completed, after which the construction contract will be put out to tender.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the meeting also covered broader local development plans and current and upcoming projects carried out with government support. The municipality is currently implementing infrastructure works valued at more than seven million euros.
Among projects now in progress is the construction of a stormwater sewage system in the settlement of Prosennikovo, an investment amounting to 46.6 million denars. The ministry said these measures form part of wider efforts to modernize the infrastructure network and promote balanced regional development.
Nikoloski emphasized that the Government will continue investing in road and municipal infrastructure to improve citizens' living conditions and encourage local economic growth.
