Elif Elmas officially presented by Atalanta: 'It wasn't hard to come to Bergamo'
Midfielder Elif Elmas was presented by Atalanta in Bergamo and said the club's attacking style made the move easy.

Elif Elmas was formally introduced as an Atalanta player in a special press conference on August 25, 2026, after already making his first minutes for the new club. The Macedonian midfielder addressed reporters and supporters about the move and his expectations for the season ahead in Bergamo.
Speaking at the event, Elmas underlined the role personal familiarity played in his transfer. "I know the manager very well, as well as the director, I know his football, he has already progressed a lot because he plays so very attacking, with so much possession of the ball. That's why it was really easy for me to come here and in my view with all this experience I have, of course I try to give my best for the team and the manager," he said.
The club confirmed that Elmas will spend one season on loan at Atalanta, with an option to make the move permanent for the following campaign. The arrangement leaves room for both the player and club to evaluate fit before committing to a long-term contract.
Club officials and coaching staff welcomed Elmas as a player who can add attacking dynamism and midfield control. Atalanta’s style of play — high possession and forward-thinking football — was mentioned repeatedly as a reason the move appealed to the midfielder.
Elmas arrives with international experience and the expectation that he will compete for a regular role in the squad during the upcoming season. He emphasized his readiness to adapt and contribute: both in training and in matches, the priority is to help the team perform.
The presentation closes the formal phase of the transfer, but the season ahead will determine whether the loan turns into a permanent signing. Supporters in Bergamo will be watching closely as Elmas aims to translate his experience into consistent performances for Atalanta.
