Sibling emotion and traditional music at Sandra Stanišić’s wedding

The Stanišić family has been reliving the scenes from a lavish, traditional wedding that became the talk of the region after the ceremony at the home of Grand winner Nikola Stanišić.

Sandra Stanišić was the centre of attention all day as she married her partner, Miroslav Atanasovski. The couple exchanged vows in church, then continued the celebration with friends and family in the family yard.

Sandra arrived in a lavish white corset-style wedding gown trimmed with lace and wearing a long veil; her husband chose a classic black suit paired with an elegant bow tie. Early-morning preparations at the house set a festive tone that lasted through the evening.

Emotions, traditional music and a proud brother

One of the most moving scenes came when Nikola, the regionally known winner of Zvezdite na Grand, embraced his sister and, with heartfelt wishes, handed her over to her future husband as she said "YES." Moments later zourli (reed pipes), drums and trumpeters filled the yard as the newlyweds danced beneath the Macedonian flag while guests decorated them with euro banknotes.

The couple's love story began nearly a year ago and culminated in a romantic proposal in Varaždin, Croatia, last December on Sandra's birthday.

Earlier, Nikola had spoken candidly about love during an appearance on the TV show Kafe Muabeti. During the show he was asked whether he sees marriage in his future; the singer answered openly, sharing personal reflections with viewers.
