Epidemiological situation in Gostivar remains stable; no new confirmed West Nile cases, Ministry says
Ministry: 57 first examinations were registered on August 1; no new hospitalizations and no new lab-confirmed West Nile cases.

The Ministry of Health reported that the epidemiological situation in Gostivar is stable and that no new laboratory-confirmed cases of West Nile fever have been registered.
"The Ministry of Health informs that the epidemiological situation in Gostivar is stable and is continuously monitored by the competent health institutions. During August 1, a total of 57 first examinations were registered, which is three fewer compared to the previous day, when 60 examinations were recorded. There are no new hospitalizations. As of August 1, a total of 1,041 formal notifications for infectious disease have been registered and 734 new epidemiological surveys have been completed," the statement said.

According to the ministry, the Institute of Public Health has not received notifications of new laboratory-confirmed West Nile cases. Nationwide, 13 cases of West Nile fever have been reported so far, and three patients are in critical condition.
The Ministry of Health said it is coordinating with the Institute of Public Health and other responsible institutions to keep monitoring the situation closely.
"The Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Institute of Public Health and other competent institutions, continues to closely monitor the situation and will timely inform the public of any new findings," the ministry added.
