FIFA confirms Intercontinental Cup final on December 16 in Doha
FIFA confirmed the final will be at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium; Toluca, Estudiantes/Palmeiras and Mamelodi Sundowns contest the Challenger Cup route.

FIFA announced today (October 23, 2026) that this year’s Intercontinental Cup final will be staged on December 16 in Doha at the Ahmad bin Ali Stadium.
The current European champion, PSG, is scheduled to face the team that secures its place through the Challenger Cup pathway.
Schedule to decide PSG’s opponent
On December 9 Toluca of Mexico will meet the South American champion — either Argentina’s Estudiantes or Brazil’s Palmeiras — in what is being billed as the "derby of America."
The winner of that match will then play Mamelodi Sundowns on December 12 as part of the Challenger Cup series.
The club that prevails in the December 12 tie will qualify to challenge PSG in the Intercontinental Cup final in Doha.
