Filipce: The government is a Russian proxy and Serbian media are bringing total media darkness

SDSM President Venko Filipče directed sharp criticism at the government led by Hristijan Mickoski, accusing it of being a Russian proxy player in the Balkans that is deliberately blocking the country's European path. According to his claims, the entry of Serbian media, such as Alo Media, will lead to control from a single media center and "total media darkness" in the country.

"When they want to live where there is a system, and not like this, an authoritarian government led by Hristijan Mickoski that blocked the European path of the country. Completely," Filipče stated, adding that such policies motivate citizens to emigrate.

Allegations of Russian influence and isolation

According to the opposition leader's claims, the international community is clear on the current government's position. "And it is already clear to all of Europe that this government is a Russian proxy player in the Balkans," he emphasized, claiming that European commissioners are already sending messages that they do not allow "Trojan horses" into the European Union.

Filipče accused the government of deliberately creating problems with neighbors to keep the country in isolation. "It is already clear to everyone that blockades and problems with neighbors are deliberately invented, just so we sit here as the appendix of the Balkans," he pointed out, assessing the country as the poorest in the region, without reforms and progress.

Warning of "total media darkness"

Regarding the media space, the SDSM president warned of the risks from the announced entry of Serbian media groups. He expressed concern that such a step would result in the establishment of control from a single media center, which, according to his words, will bring "total media darkness" in the informing of citizens.
