Pension Fund: No errors in calculating Trajcho Mitev’s work record
The Fund says additional contributions for 12.12.2003–20.01.2006 were entered in 2018 and total service was calculated at 19y5m7d.

The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of North Macedonia says it found no omissions in the calculation of the total work record for Shtip pensioner Trajcho Mitev after a television report raised questions about his pension history.
According to the Fund, Mitev filed a request on 21 December 2018 asking that his pension be recalculated because of a change in his recorded employment history. The Fund states that contributions were later registered for the period from 12 December 2003 to 20 January 2006, amounting to 2 years, 1 month and 10 days.
How the Fund processed the case
After the entry of those contributions into Mitev’s primary insurance record, the Fund says his pensionable service through the end of his employment on 20 January 2006 was counted as a total of 19 years, 5 months and 7 days. The Fund adds that the two-year-plus period Mitev questioned was entered into its records in 2018.
The Fund also explained how the pension base was determined: the monthly average of salaries earned during the insurance period from 3 February 1986 to 31 December 2005, valorized according to changes in average wages in 2006. It notes that the right to a pension under article 140 of the Law is recognized as of 1 March 2018.
Finally, the Fund emphasized that it applies the legal provisions governing pension and disability insurance and that it reopens or reviews cases when insured persons or pensioners submit objections or provide additional evidence—pointing to Mitev’s case as an example of that practice.
