Halid Bešlić: intimate first anniversary memorial at Bare cemetery
Relatives and close collaborators held a private prayer at Bare cemetery in Sarajevo on the one-year anniversary of the singer's death.

Family members and closest associates marked the first anniversary of the death of singer Halid Bešlić with a small, private memorial at Bare cemetery in Sarajevo.
The commemoration took place at the grave where an imam who also led Bešlić's funeral a year earlier conducted a prayer for the late artist.
An emotional moment arrived with the appearance of his son, Dino Bešlić, who came accompanied by his son, Belmin. After the prayer, Dino thanked those present and explained why the gathering was kept intimate.
"We only told the closest people to come, so we wouldn't make a big fuss. In any case, thank you to everyone who came," said Dino Bešlić.
Four decades of music that lasted across generations
Halid Bešlić died on October 7, 2025, leaving a career that spanned roughly four decades and a catalogue of enduring songs cherished across the Balkans. The family said they wanted the first anniversary to pass with dignity, peace and without a large media gathering.
