The City of Skopje announced that on 19.9.2026 (Saturday) and 20.9.2026 (Sunday), in the early morning hours, aerial spraying against mosquitoes will be carried out across the city.
Operation schedule and contingency
If weather conditions do not permit the disinsection to take place on those dates, the spraying will be performed on the next day with suitable weather, during the same time slot.
The measures will cover the territory of the City of Skopje and are intended to reduce mosquito populations ahead of the coming weeks.
The City appealed to beekeepers to take timely measures to protect their bees.
Residents are advised that the action is planned for early morning hours to minimise public disturbance; the City will proceed according to meteorological conditions.
