Oktaj Sejdi climbs to second place on global pageant leaderboard
The Macedonian model sits second with nearly 400,000 votes and his national costume made the pageant’s top 20.
Macedonian model Oktaj Sejdi continued to climb the standings at the international men’s pageant in Thailand, reaching second place on the global leaderboard with nearly 400,000 votes as the contest nears its conclusion.
His high ranking on the public voting chart came just days before the final evening, a period when support and interest intensify and the race for the top positions becomes most competitive.
Recognition for national costume
Alongside his vote total, Sejdi received acknowledgement for his presentation of national dress: the Macedonian national costume he wore was ranked among the 20 most beautiful national costumes showcased at the event.
Organizers and audiences often highlight the national costume segment as an opportunity for contestants to display elements of their country’s culture, history and tradition, and Sejdi’s placement among the top 20 has been noted as an additional accolade.
Before the final night, Sejdi completed the scheduled preliminary interviews that form part of the pageant programme, and afterwards he addressed the public to thank everyone who had supported him during the competition.
Attention now turns to the final in Bangkok on 26 September, when the contest will announce its definitive results and Sejdi’s final placement will be revealed.
