Election silence comes into force at midnight before Brvenica run-off
The second-round vote in Brvenica is set for Sunday; the Assembly speaker urged against ethnic divisions.

Election silence comes into effect at midnight ahead of the second-round vote in Brvenica, scheduled for Sunday.
The run-off will be contested by Stojancho Radichevski, the candidate of the coalition led by VMRO‑DPMNE, and Arkin Jahij, the candidate of DUI.
Appeal from the Assembly speaker
Assembly Speaker Gashi urged voters to avoid ethnic divisions and focus on the offer presented in the second round. He said: "There is no need for divisions along ethnic lines in the second round of the elections in Brvenica; vote for the best."
The measure means public campaigning must cease once the silence begins at midnight, as the municipality prepares for a decisive ballot on Sunday.
Local authorities and party teams are expected to observe the restriction while voters receive final information ahead of polling day.
