House and outbuilding burned in Gujnovci near Probishtip
A fire on 24 August 2026 destroyed a house and an outbuilding owned by Z.S. from Shtip; no injuries were reported and the blaze was extinguished by Probishtip fire crews.
Police reported that a fire on 24.08.2026 destroyed a house and an adjacent outbuilding in the village of Gujnovci, near Probishtip.
“On 24.08.2026 at 12:33 hours the Probishtip Police Station (OVR) received a report that a fire had broken out in the village of Gujnovci, Probishtip municipality. The fire consumed and burned one house and an outbuilding near Gujnovci, property of Z.S. from Shtip. There were no injured persons, and the fire was extinguished by a team of the Probishtip Territorial Firefighting Unit. An inspection was carried out,” the police said.
The burned property belongs to Z.S., who is from the nearby town of Shtip. Authorities say there were no casualties or injured people as a result of the blaze.
Firefighters from the Probishtip Territorial Firefighting Unit responded to the scene and brought the fire under control. Police personnel subsequently conducted an on-site inspection to determine the cause and the extent of the damage.
Local residents reported smoke and visible flames when the incident began; emergency services arrived promptly, according to officials. The full scope of material losses is still being assessed by investigators.
Police have opened an inquiry into the circumstances that led to the ignition, and further findings will be released if the investigation identifies causes or suspects.
