Man behind 'Cuban vaccine' scheme also deceived Auto-camp Ljubanista concessionaires

Concessionaires of Auto-camp Ljubanista say a faster institutional reaction could have blocked a series of frauds carried out by the same man linked to a scheme of fake cancer treatments.

The entrepreneurs from Ohrid say they were misled after the suspect, presenting himself as president of the association for persons with physical disabilities "Mobilnost" – Veles, convinced them that EU funds had been secured to build an adrenaline park at the camp.

Park built, funds never arrived

They went ahead and built the park, but the promised money never appeared. The concessionaires reported the case to the police and to the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office, but after two years the Basic Office informed them that "no case in the proceedings".

The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office subsequently ordered the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office to re-examine that decision.

Separately, the matter was raised alongside an interview with a Serbian representative for the legitimate Cuban vaccine CimaVax, about whether and how such vaccines could legally reach the Balkans.

The affected concessionaires say they expect a prompt, transparent re-investigation and warn that swifter action by authorities could have prevented the damage.
