Jordan Mitev baptizes son on Krstovden and shares family photo
The folk singer attended church in his hometown with wife Slavica and their children, and will perform in Australia in October before a 26 December Skopje show.
Folk singer Jordan Mitev marked Krstovden by bringing his wife and children to church in his hometown and sharing a family photograph with followers. The image, posted on his Facebook page, shows the family outside the church after a private baptism held on the holiday.
The occasion was especially meaningful: his son Kristian was born on Krstovden last year, and this time the family celebrated his christening. Fans responded warmly to the photo, praising Mitev for putting family values first.
Attention also fell on his wife, Slavica. Her understated, carefully chosen outfit and natural look drew compliments online, with many noting her elegance in front of the church.
Jordan and Slavica’s path to parenthood was long: after six years of trying, their daughter Kristina arrived in October 2023 in Australia, and last year their son Kristian was born, bringing further joy to the family.
Upcoming shows
Professionally, Mitev is entering a busy period. After a three-year break he will return to the stage for a major Australian tour this October, with eight concerts scheduled in cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Perth and Wollongong. Interest among the diaspora was so strong that many shows sold out almost immediately.
Back home, he has announced a large celebratory concert on 26 December at the Jane Sandanski Sports Center in Skopje, billed under the motto "Two decades of love, song and unforgettable hits."
