Jordan Mitev, one of North Macedonia's best-known folk singers, shared a warm family moment on social media by posting a beach photo that quickly drew thousands of reactions.
In the picture Mitev is smiling and reclining on a sunbed while his young son, Kristijan, sleeps peacefully at his side — an image that his followers described as tender and restorative after a busy season.
The singer, who recently marked his jubilee 40th birthday, has often said that the greatest gifts in life are the morning hugs from daughter Kristina and little Kristijan.
Family roots and daily life
Although his wife, Slavica, comes from Australia and the family had options to live abroad, Jordan chose to build their home in Podareš, the Radoviš-area village where they are raising their children.
Despite enjoying fatherhood and a summer of family time, Mitev left behind an exceptionally successful touring season with record attendance at his shows; he has already announced a large solo concert in Skopje scheduled for the end of the year.
Fans sent warm wishes to the family and praised the simple, private moments captured in the photo — a reminder that for Mitev, the quiet hours with his children are as important as the applause onstage.
