Karanfilova-Panovska: Macedonia is blocked by Hristijan Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE

Fani Karanfilova-Panovska, deputy chair of SDSM, accused Hristijan Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE of paralysing the country during a televised debate on the program "Top Tema" on TV Telma.

In the debate Karanfilova-Panovska said bluntly: "Macedonia is blocked by itself, by someone with a name and surname and it is called Hristijan Mickoski and VMRO-DPMNE."

Representatives of VMRO-DPMNE pushed back. Milososki rejected the accusation and attacked the ruling party's approach to constitutional issues, saying: "The constitution is not a can of fish to be opened whenever it suits you."

The exchange also touched on relations with Bulgaria. A VMRO-DPMNE MP warned that, after the signing of the Treaty on Good-Neighbourly Relations, ties between North Macedonia and Bulgaria have shown signs of deterioration year by year.

The confrontation on TV Telma reflected the broader political polarisation in Skopje ahead of upcoming debates over institutional and regional policy.
