Karolina Goceva dedicates encore in Tetovo to late footballer Daniel Nikolovski
Goceva ended her Tetovo show with an encore dedicated to the 21-year-old footballer who died in a traffic accident.
Pop star Karolina Goceva closed her packed Tetovo show with a deeply emotional dedication that left many concertgoers in tears.
During the encore she performed the song Koj da mi zapee, and later explained on her social channels that the rendition was meant for 21-year-old footballer Daniel Nikolovski, who died in a traffic accident a few days earlier.
Emotional dedication and a public reaction
Karolina wrote on her social media after the concert: "The evening, when I posted the event in Tetovo, Daniel's friends immediately messaged me, told me that they are mourning their friend who a few days ago tragically lost his life and asked me to sing something in his honour. So last night the concert ended with 'Koj da mi zapee' which was dedicated to a life extinguished too soon, with love from his female and male friends. Deepest condolences to all who mourn him and may he rest in peace."
The intimate encore stopped the show: the audience listened in silence, and many of Daniel's closest friends who were present were visibly moved and wiped away tears.
Besides the emotional finale, Karolina also impressed on the stage with a modern monochrome outfit — an elegant black jumpsuit with a high waist, wide legs and a corset-style top with subtle cut-outs, paired with loose hair and minimalist jewelry.
During her visit to Tetovo she also met Ana Stojanoska, who will represent North Macedonia at the Junior Eurovision in Malta; Karolina shared a photo and wished the young singer good luck.
