Sasho Klekovski: Former COVID hospital in Struga to become outpatient clinics; hospital has solid surgical services
Klekovski visited General Hospital – Struga and said unused COVID facilities will be repurposed to expand specialist outpatient services.

Health Minister Sasho Klekovski visited the General Hospital – Struga (Public Health Institution) and the Health Centre – Struga today and met with director Vladimir Buncheski and local medical staff, highlighting the hospital's surgical capacity.
Klekovski noted that the facility offers solid digestive and thoracic surgery and announced an immediate operational change concerning the former COVID ward.
Former COVID building repurposed
“A concrete step is being taken: the former COVID hospital is being put into service as outpatient clinics. That frees up space for new specialist services, so patients can receive more examinations here, in their own town,” Klekovski said on his Facebook profile.
According to the minister, the space that had remained unused for years will now be returned to patients, enabling the hospital to expand specialist outpatient services without requiring residents to travel elsewhere.
Hospital management and staff were presented with the plan during the visit; officials said the move aims to increase access to specialist consultations and diagnostic appointments within Struga.
