Assembly committee will interview three candidates for a member of the Judicial Council
Three lawyers who passed document verification — Emilija Aleksovska, Dzoko Dikov and Fadil Dzelili — will be interviewed after a previous public call was annulled.

The Assembly Committee on Elections and Appointments will interview the candidates who passed the document check today (October 14, 2026) for the seat on the Judicial Council of the Republic of North Macedonia elected by the Assembly.
Four people applied to the public call; following verification of submitted documents, three met the formal requirements. Interviews will be held with Emilija Aleksovska, a lawyer from Kumanovo; Dzoko Dikov, a lawyer from Strumica; and Fadil Dzelili, a lawyer from Gostivar.
Selection stage returns to the parliamentary committee
The interviews are being conducted under the terms of the published public call for the election of a member of the Judicial Council chosen by the Assembly. The committee is carrying out its review of candidates’ qualifications and will question those who fulfilled the formal criteria.
The previous public call for the Assembly-elected member of the Judicial Council was annulled, which prompted the new selection procedure now under way.
After the committee completes the interviews, the next procedural steps foreseen by the Assembly’s rules will follow toward filling the seat on the Judicial Council elected by the Assembly.
