The Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out intensified road checks that, over a five‑hour operation, uncovered 92 irregularities among vehicles used in public passenger transport.
Details of the inspections
During the controls, 170 vehicles were ordered to undergo technical inspection, and 34 vehicles were removed from traffic after inspectors determined they were unfit to operate.
As part of the operation, three criminal complaints were filed under Article 297‑a of the Criminal Code, and one vehicle was seized pursuant to Article 300‑b.
The Ministry said it will continue reinforced traffic controls aimed at raising safety and security for public passenger transport.
