Struga man charged after admitting he falsely reported an alleged "kidnapping"
Struga Police Department filed a complaint after investigators determined the August 17 report was false and the man confessed.

The Struga Police Department filed a criminal complaint against K.R. (32) from Struga on suspicion of the criminal offence "false reporting of a criminal offense" under Article 366 of the Criminal Code.
Details of the report and police findings
On 17 August 2026, K.R. went to the Struga police and reported an alleged "kidnapping" that, he said, had been carried out in Struga by several persons and involved a threat with a firearm.
After investigators carried out measures to verify the claim, police officers established that the report had been made falsely. Following those steps, K.R. was summoned for an official interview and admitted that he had made a false report of a criminal offence.
The case has been recorded by the Struga Police Department and a criminal complaint was submitted on the basis of the suspicions that had been established during the investigation.
