Right‑wing media provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos deported from US to United Kingdom
U.S. authorities say he was detained in New Orleans over an expired stay and a standing removal order.

Right‑wing media provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported from the United States to the United Kingdom after being detained by federal immigration agents in New Orleans, U.S. officials said.
According to a statement from a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson, Yiannopoulos was taken into custody by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on Thursday and flown to the U.K. on Friday.
The DHS spokesperson said the 41‑year‑old "legally entered the country" in May 2019 through New York, but then "decided to stay longer than permitted, breaking the laws of our country."
An immigration judge on 22 July issued a final order of removal for Yiannopoulos after he "did not appear at his immigration hearing," the spokesperson added.
U.S. officials said Yiannopoulos was arrested on his way to a concert by rapper Kanye West. The move follows the enforcement of an existing removal order tied to his expired authorization to remain in the United States.
Yiannopoulos, a British commentator known for provocative right‑wing commentary and public support for strict immigration enforcement, has been a vocal backer of ICE and of rapid deportations for people who cannot prove lawful status in the United States.
