Kriva Palanka vs Basket Kam 2011 for the Women's Supercup

New season, new prize: the Macedonian Women's Supercup “Dragan Vasilov – Cevka” will be decided for the sixth time as champion Kriva Palanka faces Cup winner Basket Kam 2011 from Makedonska Kamenica.

The match is scheduled for 3 October 2026 at 18:00 in the Branitelite 2001 Hall in Kriva Palanka, where the home side will try to claim its first Supercup title in front of local supporters.

Basket Kam 2011 enter the game as defending Supercup holders and with a clear aim to extend a run that began in 2022: the team from Makedonska Kamenica won the last four editions and beat Vardar in last year’s final.

Coaches before the game

Viktor Petrovski, head coach of Kriva Palanka, said the Supercup is an opportunity to show the progress made during preparations.

"The first game always brings a special energy, especially when it is a match for a trophy. For us this is an opportunity to show how far we've come with preparations and to transfer the work from training to the court. We are aware the season is long, but we want to start with a trophy for extra motivation ahead of the championship."

Petrovski added: "I expect a quality and uncertain match in which details will have great significance. Basket Kam is a team with great experience, with players who have been together for many years, but we want to impose our rhythm. We are ready for the challenge and I believe we will show the character, the energy and the team spirit we have and confirm the champion mentality."

On the roster changes, he said: "We have certain changes in the roster, the team is significantly younger and naturally we need time to fully gel. But what I like a lot is the character of my team and the way the girls work as one. I trust my players a lot and believe that with each played match we will look better and better."

Jordan Cvetanovski, who will lead Basket Kam 2011 from the bench, warned of a difficult game but promised full effort from his players.

"A tough match awaits us against Kriva Palanka, which is a quality team and the current champion. We, although not complete, believe in our qualities. We will give our maximum from the first to the last minute and I hope we will manage to win the Supercup."
