Police charged two Kumanovo residents and five bank staff after fast consumer loans were obtained in others’ names, inflicting over 12.2 million denars in damage.

The Kumanovo regional police department filed criminal charges against seven people after an investigation found they arranged fast consumer loans in other citizens' names and appropriated the funds.
Police say scheme ran from January to July 2026
According to a report from the Ministry of Interior (MVR), the first defendant, A. S. D. (23), used other people's personal data on 18 occasions between January and July 2026 to apply for quick consumer loans without the knowledge or consent of the victims.
After the loans were approved and the money disbursed, the funds were allegedly taken by the first defendant and the second defendant, M. V. (35), both residents of Kumanovo.
Five bank employees working at a branch of one bank — M. P. (34), S. M. (27), N. N. (34), D. M. (48) and S. O.
