Kiril Lazarov names 18 players for matches against Luxembourg and Greece
The team gathers Sunday, November 1, 2026; home game with Luxembourg is on November 4, 2026.

Kiril Lazarov has trimmed North Macedonia's handball roster to 18 players ahead of the upcoming EHF week that includes matches against Luxembourg and Greece.
The national team will assemble on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 13:00, the coach announced; that day coincides with the domestic derby between Vardar and Pelister, when clubs chose not to release players for national duty.
Squad decisions and waiting players
Among the newcomers, Dmitro Horikha received permission to join the squad and is set to make his national-team debut in the home game against Luxembourg on November 4, 2026. The team will also play Greece away during this EHF week.
Lazarov opted to list veteran goalkeeper Nikola Mitrevski as a reserve, keeping him available while giving opportunities to Tomovski, Galevski and Gogov in the active group. Notably, Zharko Peshevski is absent from the 18-player list.
The coach's selection reflects a mix of experience and new options as North Macedonia begins its qualifying cycle for the 2028 European Championship.
