Leeds thrash Newcastle 4:1 in Premier League

Leeds routed Newcastle 4:1 in the final match of Premier League matchweek four, completing a commanding win that left the visitors with little answer after an early injury setback.

Decisive first half and a late consolation

The game turned in Leeds’ favour before halftime when the home side built a 3:0 lead. An own goal in the 32nd minute put Leeds ahead, and further strikes from Bogle and Dominic Calvert-Lewin extended the advantage. Noah Okafor added a fourth for Leeds with a volley in the 59th minute.

Newcastle were hit by an early blow when Nico Gonzalez had to be withdrawn with an injury in the 19th minute. Leeds pushed the pace thereafter and capitalised on the numerical and tactical edge to take control of the contest.

Newcastle’s only reply arrived in stoppage time through substitute Toure, who converted an assist from Tino Livramento for a consolation goal that left the final score 4:1.

After four rounds of fixtures Leeds sit third with eight points, while Newcastle drop to 12th with five points.

The match was played on September 14, 2026 as the final game of the fourth Premier League round.
