Luis de la Fuente named 2026 Ballon d'Or men's coach

Spain coach Luis de la Fuente was named the best men's coach at the 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony held on October 26, 2026.
De la Fuente received the award in recognition of his work with the Spain national team and the results that pushed the side to the top of world football.
Barcelona figures also honoured
Representatives of Barcelona collected awards at the same ceremony. Pere Romeu, coach of Barcelona Femení, took the prize for the best coach in women's football, extending the club's success on the night.
The award for best young female footballer went to Viki Lopez of Barcelona, adding another accolade to the Catalan club's list for 2026.
The Ballon d'Or ceremony on October 26 underlined a year in which Spain and Barcelona were prominent on the international stage, with individual and coaching honours recognising recent achievements.
