Maja Vukicevic's son Gorazd graduates with a Master in Sydney

Macedonian pop singer Maja Vukicevic, who has been living in Australia for several years, celebrated a personal milestone this week: her only son, Gorazd, completed a master's degree in Sydney.

Vukicevic, who recently obtained Australian citizenship, posted photos from the graduation ceremony showing Gorazd in an academic gown and addressed him with an emotional message to her social media followers.

In her post she wrote: "Congratulations, my dear son, on earning the Master of Professional Accounting degree! Today my heart is filled with pride and happiness as I celebrate your incredible achievement. Watching you grow, work hard and follow your dreams has been one of the greatest joys of my life."

She added: "I wish you a future full of success, happiness, love and countless opportunities. Always believe in yourself, follow your heart and never stop striving to achieve your dreams. This is only the beginning of your wonderful journey and I know the best is yet to come. I am so proud of you, my son! I love you to the moon and back!"

Gorazd earned the Master of Professional Accounting in Sydney. He previously completed his undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Economics at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where he graduated before moving on to postgraduate study in Australia.

Although Vukicevic made her name on Macedonian festival stages and was one of the country's best-known pop singers, she has for years been leading a quieter life away from the music scene in Australia. Her public messages show that, for her, motherhood remains the central role.
