North Macedonia to field combined women's youth handball team at Mediterranean Games
North Macedonia will send a combined U18–U20 women's handball team to the Mediterranean Games in Italy (20 August–3 September).

The Handball Federation of North Macedonia has confirmed a team for the upcoming Mediterranean Games in Italy, scheduled from 20 August to 3 September.
The national representation will be a women's youth squad assembled as a hybrid of players from the U18 and U20 age groups. The federation described the roster as a combination of young and cadet players to make use of available talent for the multi-sport event.
Rapid assembly due to timing
Because there was little time to form the delegation, the selection process was completed as quickly as possible. The final squad consists of players who were available at this moment and released from club duties.
Officials say the Mediterranean Games will provide valuable international exposure for these young athletes, offering competitive matches against other national teams and a chance to advance their development within the national team system.
The Handball Federation emphasised that participation is intended to complement the players' representative progression and to give them experience on a larger stage ahead of future age-group competitions.
