68 kg cocaine seized in France from truck driven by Macedonian
Operation followed operational information sent by North Macedonia’s Unit for illicit drug trade via the Sector for International Police Cooperation and Europol.

French police seized 68 kilograms of cocaine from a commercial truck driven by a 44‑year‑old Macedonian citizen at the Fonten toll station, North Macedonian authorities reported.
International cooperation led to the interception
The Ministry of Interior said the seizure followed operational information provided by its Unit for illicit drug trade. That information was transmitted through the Sector for International Police Cooperation and Europol to the French authorities, who carried out the roadside action.
Officers discovered the drugs concealed in the cargo during the inspection of the vehicle. The driver — identified only by his age and nationality in official statements — was detained at the scene pending further legal steps by French law enforcement.
This case marks the second transnational operation involving Macedonian authorities in the past month. Earlier, police cooperated with Greek counterparts to seize 324 kilograms of marijuana.
The Ministry said investigations and cross‑border coordination continue, with details to be shared as the French authorities advance their probe.
