Leader of the Democratic Party of Albanians laid flowers at Arben Xhaferi’s grave on the 14th anniversary of his death.

Menduh Thaci visited the grave of Arben Xhaferi on the 14th anniversary of Xhaferi’s death and laid fresh flowers as a mark of respect, the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA) announced.
In a Facebook post the party wrote: "On that occasion, he laid fresh flowers and paid tribute to the figure of Arben Xhaferi, one of the most important personalities of Albanian politics in North Macedonia."
Who was Arben Xhaferi
Arben Xhaferi was a long‑time politician and a leading representative of the Albanian political scene in North Macedonia. He was the founder and first president of the Democratic Party of Albanians, a post he held until 2007.
Xhaferi was also among the signatories of the Ohrid Framework Agreement, a key document that reshaped inter‑ethnic relations in the country after the 2001 conflict. He died on 15 August 2012.
The visit and wreath‑laying come as part of the party’s commemorations of Xhaferi’s role in political life; the DPA highlighted his contribution in its public statement on social media.
