Metodij Maksimov returns to Bregalnica on loan
Former Macedonian youth international joins Bregalnica (Shtip) on loan to regain match fitness after an earlier injury.

Metodij Maksimov is set to return to North Macedonia's domestic league, joining Bregalnica (Shtip) on a loan deal aimed at restoring his match rhythm after an injury he suffered some time ago. The move was announced on July 31, 2026.
Loan to Bregalnica for playing time
The former Macedonian youth international remains under contract with LASK in Austria but will spend the coming period back home to regain competitive minutes. Club and player agreed the temporary transfer as a measure to accelerate his return to full fitness.
Maksimov previously spent time on loan at Aalesund in Norway and featured for LASK's second team while contracted abroad. Those spells were followed by a decision to return to the domestic championship.
In his domestic career Maksimov had earlier played for Bregalnica before moving to Rabotnicki and then completing a transfer to Shkendija. The loan brings him back to familiar surroundings in Shtip, where the club hopes his experience will strengthen their squad.
Coaches and club officials framed the arrangement as a short-term solution to get Maksimov regular minutes and speed his recovery toward match readiness. Exact length and sporting conditions of the loan were not disclosed in the initial announcement.
