Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski held a face-to-face meeting in New York with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, where they discussed bilateral ties and issues of mutual interest.
According to Mickoski, the conversation focused on ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries and to maintain a steady political dialogue on shared priorities.
Washington–Skopje relations on the agenda
Mickoski described the encounter as an important step toward strengthening Macedonian–American relations and underlined the relevance of continued high-level contact.
He also posted on his official Facebook page that the talks "represent confirmation of the importance of the strategic partnership and the continued political dialogue between Macedonia and the United States."
The meeting in New York adds to recent diplomatic exchanges between officials from both capitals and, according to Mickoski, signals a mutual interest in advancing cooperation on shared challenges.
