Hristijan Mickoski: Opposition's stance increasingly radical, 'like an AliExpress shipment'

Hristijan Mickoski reacted to opposition accusations that he is blocking North Macedonia's EU path by refusing to accept constitutional changes, saying he has already stated his position many times and "I have nothing to add to what I have said."

Addressing reporters, Mickoski described the opposition's stance as increasingly radical and offered a colorful comparison: "I don't know if it's sometimes worth commenting on the opposition's position, which every day is, I would say, increasingly radical and looks as if it has come from some 'AliExpress' shipment of another opposition party. So, that part of the opposition I would not like to comment on," he said.

The leader reiterated that his party's arguments are clear and that they remain open to dialogue. "We are prepared to talk, to debate and at the end of the day to find a solution," Mickoski said after attending the opening of the renovated student dormitory Stiv Naumov in Skopje.

His comments came shortly before the scheduled visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, a visit that has been watched closely amid ongoing discussions about constitutional amendments and the country's EU accession process.

Mickoski avoided elaborating further on the opposition's accusations, saying his earlier statements covered the matter and adding that he preferred not to comment on the most radical elements of the opposition's rhetoric.
