Ministry of Health: About 25,000 registered for free flu vaccination; first 30,000 doses secured
The Ministry of Health says immunisation should start between October 16 and 25; 30,000 doses from GC Biopharma have arrived and more shipments are expected.

About 25,000 citizens have signed up so far for free seasonal flu vaccination via the vakcinacija.mk portal, according to the Ministry of Health's data from the "My Term" system. Authorities expect the immunisation campaign to begin between October 16 and October 25.
Shipments and schedule
The ministry says the first shipment of 30,000 doses — GCFLU Multi inj., produced by South Korea's GC Biopharma Corporation — has already been secured.
“These are the trivalent vaccine GC Biopharma – Influenza Vaccines for 2026, which is approved by the World Health Organization and meets strict quality criteria, that is, a certificate of quality issued by the manufacturer and a certificate from a reference laboratory for quality control from the OMCL network (Official Medicines Control Laboratories) are obligatorily provided,” the Ministry of Health said.
The initial batch was obtained through a loan arranged within international cooperation with UNICEF/Albania.
In addition to the 30,000 doses, another 26,000 doses from the French manufacturer Sanofi are expected to arrive by November 15, while negotiations are ongoing for the remaining 24,000 doses needed for the campaign.
“Priority groups for vaccination will be determined by the immunisation commission,” the ministry added, underscoring that the final list of eligible groups will be set by the expert body.
Health authorities encourage people who registered on vakcinacija.mk to watch for further instructions about when and where to receive their vaccine, and to contact local health centres if they have questions about eligibility or scheduling.
