Very hot and sunny today; afternoon risk of heavy showers and isolated storms
Afternoon cloud build-up will bring a risk of heavy downpours, thunderstorms and isolated severe storms; next week temperatures will ease by a few degrees.

Today will be largely sunny and very warm, with only small to moderate local cloudiness. During the afternoon clouds will increase in places and there will be conditions for heavy downpours, thunder, stronger gusty winds and isolated severe storms that can bring very strong wind and hail. The minimum temperature will range between 13 and 21 °C, while daytime highs are expected to reach between 32 and 40 °C.

In Skopje the day will be sunny and warm with small to moderate cloud cover. In the afternoon parts of the basin could see short, heavy showers and thunder. A light to moderate northerly wind will blow. Temperatures in the capital will fall to around 20 °C in the morning and climb to a maximum near 37 °C.
The Hydrometeorological Service warns that into the coming week daily temperatures will drop by a few degrees. During afternoon hours—particularly on Monday—local instability is expected with heavy showers, thunder and stronger winds. In some places there may be isolated severe storms with very strong wind and hail.
People who will be outside in the afternoon should be prepared for sudden changes in weather: keep shaded and hydrated during the hottest hours, avoid exposed areas during thunderstorms, and secure loose objects that wind could carry.
Drivers should take care on wet roads during sudden downpours and municipalities may need to be ready for short-lived localized flooding where heavy rain occurs.
